If anyone is interested in such things I have scanned the pages that refer to 1968 Mustangs from the 1969 version of the Glen Mitchell Collision Estimator and will be happy to e-mail the scanned pages.

The collision estimator is the book body shop estimators use when they write quotes to repair cars.

I purchased to book years just because it look like a neat old automotive book but was pleasantly surprised to see that it contained deailed drawings of California Special parts.

If I remember correctly the first number to the right is how many hours it takes to removed and install the part and the seond number is the price for the part.

The guide includes all American cars from 1961 - 1969 so if you want assembly drawings for any part of any car for those years just let me know and I'll get it to you.

Attached (Hopefully) is a small section of one page of the guide so you can see if it you will find it useful. The .jpg may be a little blurry. I had to reduce the resolution to get it under 100k.

Mosesatm,
I too have this old Mitchell book I noticed that the price for the convertible Shelby and GT/CS deck lid are different in price. I though that odd since they where exactly the same item.

That is interesting...$118 vs $113, but the guide also shows the GT/CS decklid as fiberglass but not the Shelby decklid. Very strange.

Would be interesting to obtain a copy of this book. I would assume that by today's standards many of the estimated replacement cost/prices have changed over the years. Will have start looking at the next couple of swap meets I go to. Thanks for the info. Wasn't even aware of this book.

Don, do you want just the '68 Mustang pages or the whole book?

I can e-mail you the '68 Mustang pages tomorrow. Right now every scanned image is 1.4M but when I clean up the images each file should be around 300k so you'd be looking at roughly 3 Megs for the 10 pages. Will that overload your mail box?

If you want a hard copy of the whole book it will take a while to copy all of it since it is probably 1000 or so pages. Should be able to send it off some time next week.

Either way works for me.

All I really need is the Mustang pages. If you could email it that's great. No sense in coping the whole book.

Thanks for your help.

For anyone interested in the Mitchell Guide information there are 10 Mustang pages at around 380k each so all the files are nearly 4 Megs. If that is too much for your mailbox I can zip the files. You will need to unzip them using WinZip or PKZip or a similar program.

Received the pages this afternoon. Worked just fine. Made copies of them for my binder.

Thanks again
