I have an itch for something different. Been looking on Ebay and seem to narrow it down to the 64-66 models. Couple of them have 428's ;D. Might be hard to turn down a 428.

There is a red one with a 390 that might get the nod.

i had a 65 for a while, but a rat got into the wiring, that was my only issue, and you can never go wrong with a bird!

Jason, NO T-Bird, NO '67 fastback, NO '68 CJ and certainly NO grande. Meet me at Barrett-Jackson in Phoenix. Bring real money and I'll enter our 428 HCS with a $152001 reserve and we'll make some noise if you'll bump the bids some! hicountry Bob here.

not selling my CS to replace it with a T bird (that has to be some kind of sin) ;)

sounds like a plan. Enter your car and I WILL be there and will bump the bids. Just remember Barrett Jackson is a no reserve auction. It would take STONES to put your car into that.

Jason sell a car to add another? I knew that wasn't the plan, maybe build to add another car but sell?

Oh and I do believe you can set a reserve at Barretts if you want.

the January BJ auction is a no reserve format.

Anyone know of any good warehouse space in Houston for oh, let's say about 12 cars? 8)

You mentioned that you might be interested in a 428 Mustang.
Forristalls in Texas has one in his website,www.forristalls.com Its a coupe I believe but you might want to check it out.
Good luck!

Nice looking car! I assume you mean the coupe, not the convertible. Can't go wrong with Highland Green!!!

Jason, I owned a '64 T-Bird in high school. Never drove it much. It mainly sat in the back yard. I seem to remember driving it a lot in the winter. It was a much better snow car than the Mustang.

That generation of 'Birds have the funkiest interiors. It's almost like being in a Jetsons cartoon. The only downsides are that they are heavy so they suck the fuel, and they are about as wide as a Hummer. I think the '66s are more advanced, or civilized, than the '64s.

The only good T-Bird is an early T-Bird. T-Birds from anytime after 1960 are in my opinion, butt ugly. I don`t care what they had for an engine. ;D

to me the early ones are kinda cool but I just don't like the shape as much as the 64-66's. early tbirds are really nice cars when restored properly but just not my cup of Joe.

My mother and dad had a 68 with the suicide rear doors, I loved it. But I was just a passenger.

I learned how to drive in a 1976 lipstick red t-bird with white leather interior.
It was pretty classy for it's day 8)
I dated a girl who had a 66 t-bird just after I got out of high school. All I remember is that she scared the sh... out of me, beat the sh... out of the car and it still held up. That relationship didn't last to long.

Today was just browsing E bay and saw a 1968 1/2 CJ project. No drivetrain. Sorry did not get the item number.

Jason, here's one I found on eBay. It's a true Houston car......it even has a bullet hole!

WE RECEIVED THIS VEHICLE AS PART OF A GROUP PURCHASE, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CLASSIC T-BIRDS, I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES AND THAT THE MOTOR IS NUMBERS MATCHING. THE CAR IS IN NEED OF RESTORATION WORK, THE BODY IS POOR, THERE IS A BULLET HOLE IN THE SHEETMETAL, THERE IS EVIDENCE OF EXTENSIVE BODY WORK AND REPAIRS OVER THE YEARS, THE FRONT BUMPER IS DAMAGED, THE INTERIOR IS IN DECENT SHAPE, BUT FAR FROM EXCELLENT.

Hmmm, now I find myself looking for classic T-Birds on the road. Saw one original yesterday - very cool looking . Lots of chrome, subtle scoop on hood, and kind of a square looking hardtop. Good hunting as these are nice looking old cars!
