I just received an email about the street bathrooms in Houston. You can't see in but once in you can see out. It's in the glass.

There is a restaurant like that in Minneapolis. They have big windows/mirrors in front of the urinals so you look into the lobby when you're standing there. It's a little spooky. Of course some people in the lobby know about the whole thing and try to mess with the minds of the poor guys in the restroom

I remember seeing a show on TV about something similar once ... here is info on it. This is from the Travel Channel

10. Best See-Through Bathroom: Sloan's Ice Cream Parlor

What's Cool: Bathroom walls made from clear glass!
----------------------------------
When nature calls, ice cream lovers are privy to more than two scoops and a waffle cone at Sloan's Ice Cream Parlor. This West Palm Beach icon is notorious for more than divine sweets: This is an ice cream parlor with a view!

Both the hungry and curious flock to Sloan's to check out the high-tech bathrooms with see-through glass walls. Transparent walls and doors give customers a clear view into the loo, and enclose the two one-room bathrooms.
The faint of heart need not take shelter a mere turn of the bathroom door handle and the glass fogs up, becoming opaque and offering users total privacy from peeping eyes. How does it work? The glass of the walls and doors is made with a layer of liquid crystals between two layers of glass. A current keeps the crystals in line and the glass clear, but when the door handle is turned and locked, the current turns off, crystals fall out of alignment, and the glass appears clouded.
