Yes there where 428's produced, as for the numbers I dont think it has been officially stated, there are some estimates in Pauls book, and most of those where the HCS's becasue of the timing.

Pauls registry estimates the number of 428 to be around 25 or .6%. One of the reasons I think that there are not many 428 CS's was for a little more money you could buy a GT350 Shelby.
