I think you got a good deal. It is a nice clean car and can be easily fixed. If you do the labor yourself, it will be much cheaper to do. Is the radio they mention in the appraisal still in it? It has a fair amount of options like AC and power steering, thats good. The back dash looks like it is out, but that could be purchased and put in. As long as the frame isn`t majorly bent, I think it is great! They did`nt mention if the frame had been looked at did they? Lets hope it is not too bent out of shape. You`ll have her on the road in no time, I think you paid just what it is worth right now.

If the car's value is truly around $21k, I'm pretty sure that you should be able to get it fixed for less than $10k (ie, your purchase price and worst case repair cost: $10.6k + $10k < $21k) ...

i got the car I drove to santa maria and rented a trailer. the owner gave me 5 boxes fill with parts. sterring wells, extra set of lucas fog lights, two radios, console, ac parts, the car is super clean, they did a frame off restoration. they painted the car candy gold, the car is super. drives perfect. I am really happy. he also gave me about four or five extra glasses for the lucas fog light,

I think you made out alright. It looks like a nice clean car.
If the frame isn't bent as mentioned, after repairs I still think you're in decent shape.

Those parts can add up in value as well, especially the fog lights.
