Have any of you done the 99' cobra IRS(independent rear suspension) switch? I just finished it on my car. I couldn't swallow paying over 1k for the brakets, so I cut and welded made some myself. The car can now accept 17 inch cobra r wheels with a wider wheel base. Now i have rear disc brakes with modern handling. I'm thinking about casting some aluminum modern looking wheel centers with the GT logo in the center for old times sake.
I'm about to upgrade my front end to coil over with rack and pinion from TCP, and add a 5.0 motor w/ a T5.
I have already made and installed some subframe connectors to beef it up.
Have any of you done any of this to your cars?
