I may chose Friday over Saturday, because most of you will want to go to the Sunday show early. That will give you time to clean up and get there early.

But I am flexible! I plan on Texas style brisket for dinner. 25 pound variety. Cooked for 24 hours over apple wood!

Coupes with Scoops!!! Let’s do it. I hope a bunch of you can make it. Or Rob, Val, and Amy better get real hungry!!

We have all ready started planning the trip. I just can't wait. I am all ways excited about national shows. But what is really great about this one is I will get to meet many of you. I did want to say there are classes for every mustang in the MCA, your car does not need to be a concours car! Please Bring Your Cars! Marty MCA 38812

Amy and Rob;
We have it on our calendar, and definitly want to be there and meet every one. As we get closer we will want ideas on where to stay, although I think your club has a host hotel.
We have been talking about this show within our club and hope to bring as many as we can out of Alberta. Of course coupes with scoops sounds great and I will start working on that, I believe Gary is in, and we have to see about J/Y as he is out of the country so much.

Tim, I have a CS for you to drive! Tim, meet Saaaataaaaannn. Bwah hah haaaahhhh...

Autocross was from Bellevue to Yakima this year, across I-90. This year the route is undecided, but stay tuned.

FRIDAY at Rob's. Ok.

SUNDAY is the show I want to see everyone at, if you please can make it!

As for parking, I will voice my opinion that the CS cars are separated as they were supposed to be for 2009, where the 68 section had an area singled out for CS, Machs, and fastbacks. Then for the new models there was a designated section for the CS cars within the 05-current cars.

So excited to meet everyone!

Speaking of salmon, we used to have a state representative that was giving a press conference and one of the media wonks asked her about the shortage of salmon. Her reply was "There's no shortage of salmon. I can go to Safeway and get as much as I want." The media almost pee'd all over themselves. I thought I was going to die laughing. Sorry, but I just had to share.:rofl:

Thanks for the wonderful comments. We will see what we can do, we have plans to take a trip to Florida to visit some family down that way so it will hinge on when that takes place and how much time off I can get, if the economy is nice enough to spare me, who knows. Jace wants to fly somewhere so bad he can't stand it so I figure a trip to Florida should cure that...well maybe not he won't have all the luggage and arrangements to worry about, I hate flying because of all the BS you have to go through.

I will need to collaborate with Amy on the best place to stay. The event centers on Bellevue Community College basically due East of Seattle across the 520 bridge. The Sunday show is the big participant choice show. Saturday is the concurs show.

I live about 1 hour from Seattle in Bremerton, and if we do my lake property it is about 40 minutes due west of Bremerton past a small town called Belfair. So, all in all, where ever we would meet we should start early afternoon on Saturday if we intend to enjoy ourselves for any length of time. For those who will enter a car in the Sunday show, this will leave time for some cleaning at one point or another.

Anyway, here is the link to the 2010 show. Track time on Thursday. Pony Trails on Friday, which is a great way to tour the NW.

Maybe Friday is a better day for my party? I am totally ok with any of the 4 days. I want to find the best time that we can sit down and just visit! Crashing at the cabin is ok. If at my house, there are close hotels. But from Bremerton back to Seattle is a bit of a drive.

Marty,
Renton is a short drive up the freeway (I-405) to the Mustang Roundup. About 1 hour from where I am.

I appears that most people will center on a weekend for the visit. With alot of people coming in on Friday, I think it is best that I plan for any gathering we (I) have for Saturday afternoon. This would allow a chance to go to the concurs show in the morning and then we can meet Saturday afternoon.

I am commitied to having a party and barbeque, but on Saturday night the Mustang Roundup event is having a Northwest traditional salmon cook going on close to the show and on Lake Washington. Hard to beat that, but normal stuff for the NW people attending.

But I would love to have you my way for some mouth watering Texas, Clay River style, briskett done for 24 hours over apple wood.

So to fit everyone the best, Saturday early afternoon would be best for my barbeque. Then we have the show on Sunday! As most are here for the Sunday show, I would stay in the Seattle area.

SAT for the BBQ.

The dinner hosted by my club is expensive- $40 a plate, and I'd rather be with my CS peeps.

Hotels? I'll look into that. Anything in Seattle is close to I-90 which is the road to Bellevue College and the Sat/Sun shows. Plus we usually meet at the college for the Pony Trails and go somewhere using I-90.

The Embassy in Bellevue is what my club suggests for this event. Renton is far away, Maple Valley is far. I'll go look online. BRB.

MCA shows are the greatest!! Mustangs, Mustangs, and more Mustangs. All years, good, bad & (some) ugly. Pretty much the whole spectrum- years, models, condition, from beaters to magnifcent concourse. If you can make it, I HIGHLY recommend it. Good folks, and MCA shows are well staged. And lots of vendors & flea market.
I've usually only attended those here in the east, but I've made so many friends out west, it's a good time to get together.
Try it - you'll like it. I won't have my C/S there (a bit of a drive from NC!) but I'll still be able to drool over the beauties that are there.

MCA is the national club and regional groups apply to host National shows in their area. Normally there are about five annually located around the lower 48 states and Canada - so far. Since some of the national awards are associated with the accumulation of points some will travel great distances to get this points towards those awards. Also these national events do not return (normally) to the same region year after years so if you get the opportunity IMHO take the opportunity to participate.

Like everything - you many not enjoy everything about these larger shows, but I assure you that you will find many things that you will.

We'll see everyone there

My son is a senior in high school and one of his top college choices is the University of Puget Sound. If he gets accepted and decides that is where he wants to go, I might be able to pull off a trip to Seattle in July. Sounds like it will be a fun time.

The Mustang Roundup is an event to behold. The shear volume of Mustangs and collectable Fords cannot be matched by any single event in the country IMO. Coupling this with an MCA stop is still more icing on the cake. It looks like they may get a track day at Bremerton Raceway which is very close to my home and lake cabin. Years ago I used to bracket race our Mustang there. Lots of fun, and they also can set up an autocross course. Depends on what Mustangs Northwest decides to do.

The participant choice show on Sunday can attract 1,500 cars. It is nearly exhausting to see and fill out your ballet. I will have Neil do mine!!!

I can’t wait to see as many of you as possible. This will be great fun! And to get the Arlie seal of approval for my brisket!!! A true Texas guy used to the biggest and the best! Maybe he can attract “in front of you” to the great NW!

David if you get Mustang Monthly there is a artical in January's addition about winning in the MCA. It gives you a good idea of what the MCA is all about. Our Jeff Speegle should get a lot of credit, this year he lead the best judges meeting I have ever attended. Caught the attention of Donald Farr the editor of Mustang Monthly. Way to go Jeff! Not that everyone will agree with everything (never do) but at least it’s allot easier if you know what to expect. Always more difficult to hit a moving target ;)

We've discussed requiring each club hosting a national event (and making it available to every regional group as a benefit for their members) to host a series of Judging classes before they have their events. With a couple of these you can prepare both local owners and judges for the show, answer allot of questions and concerns before the show and reduce the number of "easy and inexpensive points) given away by the first timers.

Hopefully readers will get some value from the article and again thanks for the kind comments.

Amy;
Regarding that Ferry for $15, is that walk on? or per car? Sounds awful cheap for a car, but maybe a short distance.

That is for a car one way. About an hour ride from Seattle to Bremerton.

Can't wait!!! Hope a bunch of you can make it! Amy and I talked yesterday about the party. Still shooting for early afternoon or late morning on Saturday 17 July. All day long eating and telling stories. Bring your appetite!

And then the big, huge, Sunday show.

Yup, one hour "scenic" ferry ride between Seattle and Bremerton. And then a 40 minute drive to scenic Belfair were Rob & Val’s lake cabin is. Each way. Not to mention a 30 minute drive from Bellevue to the Ferry terminal.

You can drive South from Bellevue to Tacoma and then West skipping Bremerton and going directly to the Belfair area that I estimate would take one hour total. As this will be Saturday, the traffic will be lighter. That may add 2 hours to your time at my cabin!!

That is why I want to start the party at noon on Saturday. So you can have some fun and not get back to your room at midnight before the Sunday show. You will be able to experience some of the concurs show on Saturday early and then come over.

Best I can do to fit a party in on this weekend. Friday is the pony trail drive. Sunday the big “show”.

By the way, if you skip the concurs show and have a leisurely breakfast, you can come by as early as you want. I will be tending the brisket starting early Friday afternoon all through the night. So you can come by any time Saturday!

OKAY here it is- I need to know NOW who is coming so I can block off spaces MAYBE with Jeannie's permission.

IF everyone gets there promptly at opening time with their 68 CS cars then we can hog the section.

It was only myself, Steve (mechanical guy) and Bill (traveledGTCS) last year. The year before I had 40 spaces reserved for our GT/CS section.

ROB, I'm coming up to the Seattle/Bellvue show w/ my friend Russ Stearns who one Saturday back in 1981, bought my 1st HCS for me. I saw a for sale ad in the AM paper that Sat and as I had to work, I called Russ to see if he'd come by the house and get the money ($800.00) and go look at it and buy it if it was RIGHT for me. I waited all day to hear from him and finally about 3:00 he came by the Safeway store I was at and said I owned it and it was at his house because it needed HIM (tuneup). He said I got a bonus 'cause it had a deluxe interior which is quite uncommon in HC Mustangs and was a 1 owner car. Marty Rupp in Nebraska has it now. He bought it out of Ernie Gonzales's collection this past year(I had sold it to Ernie years ago when I thought I needed a '78 SA Corvette). AND I'm going to work on my friend David I (di81977) of Boulder, Co. to take his HCS up to the Seattle/ Bellvue show with us, also. See you around, Bob Teets here.

I need a list of people who are participating in the Saturday July 17th MCA Judged show in Bellevue, so we can correlate the ride to Rob's BBQ. The show is 8-5. The cars are expected to stay at the college- security will be there to watch the cars. Of course you can remove your car, but for Sunday they'd like it back in the judged lot.

I hope all of you can "mapquest"! the address to the lake is:

2061 N.E. Haven Way
Tahuya, WA 98588

Land line to lake is (360) 277-0733. Cell phone coverage is "spotty" to say the least.

I plan on having greeters at Belfair State Park to lead you the last 7 miles to the lake. It is very easy to find, but we will make sure all get there!

This is Rob talkin now!! As Amy says the big show is Sunday. It is huge. I will be up all Friday night stokin the BBQ for the brisket. You can come ANYTIME on Saturday. You can sit and relax and enjoy!! The Saturday show is just ok in my eyes, but if you like concurs judging, by all means take it in!

To spend any time together on Saturday you need to be late morning early afternoon. Most of you will want to leave by early evening, but if you want to crash, that is ok!!! We have lots of floor space, two beds, a blow up mattress, and some 3-inch thick mattresses that work good on the floor. A bunch of deck space and hot coffee in the morning!!! And left over BBQ!!

I have to say that the couple of days at Tim’s were so “special”! No people cleaning cars, and just a bunch of owners sharing and talking! The best time I have had in a long long time!!

Anyway you are welcome all day! The longer you can stay the better! I plan on dinner at about 4:00 p.m. Horse-e-dovers during the day. Ice cold beer, pop, and friendship!!

Amy can answer the distances and whether you need a car or not. Sounds like she has some rides for Saturday, but you may need a car for the Space needle. Sunday can be a long day with lots of food around, so Friday sounds to me like the best Space Needle day. It is awesome! Took Val in my first Mustang to one of our first dates to the Space Needle in 1975!! May want to just spring for a cab to and from! I bet you can hitch lots of rides to the show and everywhere else!!

Everyone be ready at 0900. We will shoot for the 1000 or 1110 ferry to Bremerton. Tell me where you're all at so I can pick you up. I DO need a head count of how many people need rides to Rob's.

Neil I can come get you from Seatac no matter what time, and I can take you back to Seatac on MOnday. Send me your flight info. You and Peggy have a seat with me to Rob's BBQ Saturday. Airport is maybe 35 mins from Embassy.

YES there is a shuttle from Embassy Suites to Bellevue College. Here is the site-

http://www.mustangsnorthwest.com/Userfiles/Docs/2010/2010MCAGrandNationalRegistration.pdf

You will be exhausted after the show on Sunday. It is an all day event. Friday is a good day for the Seattle Center. The waterfront is also a treat, with the Seattle Aquarium, the trolley. If you have money to spend, I'd recommend a dinner show at Teatro Zinzanni, Jazz Alley, or... MUSEUM OF FLIGHT!!!

I have a question/comment. Is anyone taking in the Judged Show on Saturday or is everyone attending Sundays 'Show and Shine'? I haven't decided which as yet and it will probably be the last minute choice since I am currently traveling eastern US, and hopefully home by the 16th of July.

Note- when you call the Embassy to make a reservation, you MUST say "Mustangs Northwest Grand National Show" or they will tell you hotel is full. There are about 9 rooms left per reservation desk, just spoke to them.

Again, Sat is the judged show ONLY. So far 143 Mustangs are registered to be judged. If you think THAT'S alot of cars... come to the Sunday show...

The big show (BIG) (1300+) is Sunday, where we fill up the college. Awards for the Sat show are given on Sunday.

Thursday is the race track day.

Friday is Pony Trails, a two hour drive with 2-300 of your Mustang friends. We take over Highway 2. All you see is Mustangs! Anyone who wants to bring their Mustang and do this ride, I will post info on where we'll be meeting- usually the college at oh dark hundred.

I'm glad you posted this! I just got it in gear and made our reservations, so we're cool. It's a good hotel--you get free made-to-order breakfast every morning and free cocktails for happy hour from 5-7pm each night. Decent indoor pool and the hotel provides a hose if one should happen to actually wash their car with water.

Boy is Amy right about that!! I called them this morning around 6:30-7:00 and I was told that the hotel was booked solid! Even after I mentioned that I was going to be there for the Mustang show and that several members of my group were staying there, "No rooms available" I was told. So, I called the Days Inn across the street and booked a room there for Fri-Mon. Hey, I'm more of a Days Inn person anyway :-}

I guess I should have booked earlier, but I was procrastinating. I was waiting for something else I have going on, and to get a backup at work trained to do my job for both this trip and another one that I am taking next week. Oh well, I have a room booked and I am looking forward to being there!! I may not be at the same hotel with a lot of you, but I will still be over there at the Embassy quite a lot to visit ;-]

The pony trails is leaving from Monroe at 9 (after photos) and heading west on hwy. 2 and then north on hwy 9 to Arlington, then out hwy 530 (i think) to Newhalem, past Darrington. Amy, It's only about 45 mins. to Monroe. 405 to 522 and it drops you right at the fairgrounds. I'm not sure where they will do the photo shoot. Probably the big parking lot right behind the county courthouse on the corner of hwy. 2 and 179th.

Bret

aemoo28
06/16/2010, 01:35 AM
Oh yes, coming from Bellevue and not Seattle will make a shorter distance to Monroe. I forget about the I-90/405/520 sneaker way east. Not to confuse everyone, but we have I-5 that runs North and South, then two bridges going east from Seattle to Bellevue called I-90 and 520, then to mix it all up we have 405 that runs east.

And then we have the FERRY that goes to UNCLE ROB'S!!

Ah, the great Northwest. I can't wait to meet all of you.

Photo shoot at the fairgrounds, Monroe Speedway. Does that sound familiar, Bret? And since you live over there, how far is it to the Gorge? That's where Jeannie says our Pony Trails destination is. I always thought it was a long ways away. And being that early in the morning, I know you'll tell us where a Starbucks is!

I'm not sure how far to the gorge, never been there. It's past Darrington. Mapquesting it from Monroe, is just over 2 hours.

Now the most important info; Starbucks------- If you follow 522 all the way to Monroe, where it intersects with hwy. 2, it will be on the left (look out the drivers window). You have to go left on hwy. 2 to the next signal. From here either pull a u-turn or left on Kelsey and go thru the Fred Meyer parking lot. I prefer drive thru to parking cause the stalls are tight. Can you say door dings!!

Cheers, Bret

ALRIGHT!!!!

We are getting closer! For mapquest people here is the address to the cabin:

2061 N.E. Haven Way
Tahuya WA. 98588

A close landmark (7 miles) is Belfair State Park. We are hoping to lead people to the lake from this park.

NEW TIME!!! 2:00 p.m. on the 17th for grub coming off the apple wood!!!

Phone number to a land line at the lake is (360) 277-0733. If you try to call past the city of Belfair, the cell coverage is..... crappy!!! so if you get lost on the way, the cell is useless. Go back to Belfair and call. We will lead you in!

Amy is the contact for a group lead (caravan) from Seattle early in the morning. PM her or post on this thread asking for a time.

Anyone arriving at SeaTac around the same time headed to the Cloud (where I have reservations) or Embassy or etc, that I can grab a ride with? And, anyone leaving around Monday PM that I could slide with? No problem with the rental, just hate to drive around in an area that I am totally unfamiliar with, without a local guide.

Cory, that looks like SO much fun! :-)

....I too am very sad about not making this wonderful Northwest gathering! All of Amy & Rob's dedicated planning; missing a chance to meet Marty, Amy and so many other "family"; getting to see Neil & Sarge again and on & on...

Two things really kicked my butt this year. Three solid months of (up 'til 2 AM) air show planning and the fact that my "real job" has picked up to the point where I have to work weekends (regardless) just to keep up (which I am very grateful for). In addition, I have to plan a 4-day business trip to the Midwest that must happen here in mid-July...

It is SO cool however, that Renee "PonyGal" will make it up as our flower-in-hair, fun-loving NorCal rep and rest assured, I will be glued to these forums in delightful anticipation of the stories and photos.

You are all truly THE best and I wish you a fabulous time! ...a wish that I know has already been granted in advance - 'cuz I know the character of its source :-)

God Bless and Happy Independence Day!!!

All native wild trout. No it isn't a catch and release section, and we cook one up once in awhile I'm just not much of a pick through all the bones trout eater so I catch and release.

One thing I'm not is a fly fish only catch and release only kind of fisherman pushing that agenda. I generally only fly fish and I primarily catch and release but I do so because it meets my idea of fun. I'll take anyone in the drift boat that wants to fish, bait, spin, bobbers what ever turns your crank and you can whack'em on the head and eat'em if you so desire, doesn't bother me at all.

...BIG Ditto to that all around David! "PonyGal" called me from the hotel lobby yesterday afternoon. The noise in the background was intense, festive and warm. After a brief, but equally intense description of the incredible cars and all the people arriving, she handed the phone to Neil who's commanding and fatherly voice solidified the magic!

When Renee returned, it was; ..."OhMyGawd - I just met "limelyt", "Northern Pony", MountiePony", "Deadstang" and "JBART"'s car is so awesome!...Amy is such a kick!...and, and "HighcountryBob"....These people are SO amazing!...I gotta' get a glass of wine!!"" then <click>...off the radar, she went...

A follow-up call late last night nearly brought me to tears with all the wonderful stories (until the phone batteries died;-) of real people united by a "Special" website....and the magic is only beginning!

So here we have Bob (hicountrybob), Neil & Peggy (franklinair), and Jbart in the background. We met for dinner after the Ride N Drive at the racetrack.

HOW do I post videos on here?? Ever been so scared you cannot scream? I have passenger footage in the Super CS on the track. It's not like you are alone doing 140mph. You are with 4 other cars at least, all riding on top of each other at the speed of light.

The second photo is everyone on the ferry, coming back from that famous BBQ.

Yes, it was a great time/eats at Robs and Vals, we could not stay for the duration and team photos, but attached a couple that I was able to take. It was great to meet everyone and put a face to the internet names, great group of people. Missed the show on Sunday, we didnt get out of port Hadlock till 11, wish I could have met the rest of the group. Sounds like overall it was a great turn out in the pacific northwest!

Words cannot describe how wonderful this past weekend was for me!! It was so great to meet all of the CS.Com members that were in Seattle as well as all the different people from Canada. It really was a fun bunch!! Amy, you are the best!!! Thank you for arranging all of this!! We all had a blast!!!!!

The BBQ at Rob's was awesome!! I can still taste that amazing brisket!!! Rob and Val were great hosts and it was really nice to take a short cruise around the lake. However, Rob did forget to tell us that there was a SHARK in the water!!!! I got proof... Check out the picture! It is a bit fuzzy because I had to snap it so quickly before the shark sank back into the depths of the lake

Anyway, here are a few pictures... More about the show itself later.

P.S. Tim, we ALL missed you!!! It was great to talk to you on the phone though. Thanks for letting me "pass you around" for everyone to talk to!! Still, we wish you were there!!!

Unofficial count for Sunday show is 1700 Mustangs. Have you ever heard of so many Mustangs in one place?

Renee drove my 08 GT/CS to the show so I could have both cars there Sunday... Thank you Renee!! And to JB for helping me return the cars home post show.

Or rather, Satan was hiding it in her trunk. That car! Bad Satan! Hiding a phone like that!

Today, yes, 3 days after the show, I was finally getting things out of both Mustangs when I found someone's cell phone. Thought it may be JBart's but he's already texted me so not his...

It's a Motorolla. ID it and I'll send it to you... or drive it to you...

Alrighty then.

I know who Rob, Neil, Ron, Roy, Sarge, and Renee are in the photos.

Didn't get the program that tells me the rest of the players.

Can you help a fellow GT/CS'r out?

I guess I should have put the names on my pictures, but I was a bit "pre-occupied" last night. Here are the names as best as I can remember...

I am sooooo sorry I forgot Jean-Yves' wifes name

I also included a couple of shots from the ferry ride home. It was a lot sunnier than the ride to Bremerton!

Renee,
i checked my brother's extensive nascar collection, he only has one mark martin autograph. it's on a diecast, #6 car that is part of a large diecast collection, and he won't , of course, break up the set. i guess he really is a hard one to get.
sorry

...Yes, Keep them coming!

Rob - your lakeside cabin is spectacular and the BBQ & boating you put on...Wow! I'm so sorry to have missed that. Renee was so gracious in calling me with updates and passing the phone around to my "cousins in cars" :-) You all made my weekend nonetheless!

Amy - what a great and generous job YOU did with your part in management! 1,700 cars in all - yet how fortunate the GT/CS folks who received such VIP treatment with huge smiles to go with their miles! You are the Real Deal :-)

JBART - you opened a real "can o'worms" talking NASCAR with Renee ;-) She will "drink you under the table" on that subject. Good luck with that one ;-)

What an historic and monumental event you all performed! Are there pictures of you all at the MCA show as well?

So proud of you!....So sorry to have missed out!

Oh, thank God I stopped myself before I typed "Connie". I decided it would be best to question myself rather then get it wrong. I met so many amazing people this trip and I am TERRIBLE with names.

Bonnie, I am sooo sorry I forgot your name :embarass:

That's okay JBart. Mark Martin is a hard one to get and I know that. Thanks for the offer to check for me though :-) And Tim is right, I do love NASCAR and Mark Martin is my favorite driver!! I could talk your ear off about NASCAR racing!! I have been a fan since the 60's (I was still just a baby )

Another thing I enjoy is wine tasting/collecting. Hey, I live right in the middle of the California wine country!! I have quite a few "exceptional" wines in my collection just waiting for the proverbial "special occasion". Hey, sounds like a GT/CS party to me :cheesy:

I got Elliot Sadler's Autograph when he came up to our luxury suite in Atlanta a few years ago. He used to be our driver.

Nice to catch a glimpse of Marty, papa Neil, Satan... and I see You found a perfect pal for the walk-around ;-)

The golf cart is neat & would indeed come in handy! It looks like it could share many of the body parts with the pool table Jon posted in "off topic" this a.m.

We had a great week end and good week coming home. It is true what they say; "you meet the nicest people driving a Mustang". We met many nice and friendly people, the B-B-Q was awesome, and great hospitality from Rob and Val, thank you. The two shows were great and Renee thanks for posting a pic of my car at the judged show. I have never seen so many nice cars as at the S&S on Sunday.
A lot of Rum and a lot of Red Wine but I seem to remember something about Renee being our " honorary Canadian" and honorary member of our club, I believe Cindy is even going to send her our news letter. Great gal and she just worked her way into all of our hearts.
Of all I got to spend the least time with Marty but we did get together for a quick bite and car talk, very knowledgeable car guy. That beer I promised Marty will have to wait till next time.
Out of the whole trip my greatest worry was taking the old gal over Rogers Pass, but she just sailed through, kept up with the new cars, and was often in the passing lane climbing with the best of them. However a car of this age is not the best on bumpy down hill corners, as I quickly learned.
Great event, nice people, and awesome cars.
See you on the road.

Thanks to all who came!!! We went through all 30 pounds of the briskett by days end.

What a great bunch of people and it was Val and I's pleasure to host you guys. I had a great time and only wished you could have stayed longer!!

Fed Maxi the hound a small piece of brisket and she wolfed it down. Her "intestinal" difficulties are finally over and she is eating like a horse again. I thought I may have to put her down, but she has rallied like no ones business!!

Thanks again for all the great talk and camaraderie!! I will post a couple pics soon. Did 8 racks of baby back ribs last Saturday!!! Yummmm yummmm!!!

Well, this year was another bust for Laurie and I and we just couldn't get away on those dates with too many other commitements on our plate. (That and the fact that our car is still apart and up on jack stands!) Maybe if Laurie and I can finally get retired next year maybe we'll have enough time to make more of these GT/CS and Mustang events?
Looks like everyone had a wonderful time, but we'll really have to try and make it down for one of these BBQ / get-together events just to ensure that there is at least ONE red GT/CS in the parking lot!
Our car is STILL not quite back together yet, but hopefully some time this week it'll hit the road again so that I can drive it a bit and shake out any remaining "bugs". The good news is that in this current round of repair and restoration the Lucas fog lights are finally back on the car! The current plan is to leave on Thursday, August 5th to drive it up to Kamloops for their "Hot Nites in Kamloops" show and shine event. (I'll take lots of pictures and post a thread about it after we get back home.)
Best to all, and it's nice to finally put a face to some of the folks that post on the website!

Bob, Thank you for the wonderful compliment! I am very proud to be an "honorary Canadian" and an honorary member of your club!! Can't wait to get a copy of the newsletter with the write-up about the Seattle show. I do hope to make it up there to see a bit of Canada someday. It's on my "bucket list"

Rob, I am so glad to read that Maxi is up and around and eating again. Hope she stays that way for a while longer. How old did you say she was?? 15 or so? That is getting up there! Keep us up to date on her health. Again,, it was a great day and I still have the taste of that amazing briskett in my mouth!! That was YUMMY!!!!
