The past owner of my car sent me a picture he found on his records: He says that this GT/CS was sitting in am illegal Junk Yard for 15-20 years and after several warnings by the county there were some Mustangs that were going to be crushed. Some were not worth saving but he was able to purchase 5 or 6 including mine. He said that he went to the junkyard about 1 week later and nothing but grass was there. The "NO" in the window was the signal for the county of: "Do not crush"Here is a picture of car on a forklift being removed from the junkyard

What a cool story. Rare color, what interior does it have. Do you have any pictures of the restoration? Marty

That is one cool picture to have to show it's history. Nice save, is it going back to Pebble Beige?

Yes, is it going back to puke, excuse me, I mean pebble beige?

If you do, maybe I'll do it too... NOT.

It seems to be the rarest color CS still "living". I'm so very glad it was saved.

Amy is right;will keep it original Pebble Beige. No plans to change color. Like the rarity of the color although I understand is not very popular.

Pebble Beige is by far the rarest color.
Only 19 GT/CSs and 0 HCSs.

The next rarest are Tahoe Turquoise and Raven Black at 77 each, which is 4 times as many.

I think it will look sharp with the black interior with the black stripes. Some colors just need a accent color to set them off.
Amy,
If you want to see a car that would make you puke I have seen 2 the first a 67 convertible springtime yellow with a turquiose interior and the worst a playboy pink with a ivy green interior. Both one of one cars I bet. Marty

So is PB more like a pink color? I didn't realize it was a dusty pink. May have to rethink my disgust for PB. Kinda like the girly pink color.

Plus the fact that only 19 GT/CS were made in that color...maybe start thinking of returning Satan to its original color...
