Interesting. I've never seen one with the dog dish hub caps before.
It does seem a bit odd to have basic hub caps on a GT/CS. My first GT/CS had them, but it was weirdly optioned. Here's the Marti. No styled wheels or wheel covers listed.
It's my understanding that the car had 50,xxx original miles in 2008. It probably hasn't racked up many more since then.
Marty,
Do you know whether the car is original or restored?
It was restored to MCA concours trailered standards around 10 years ago.
If you did not up grade to a better hub cap or wheel the dog dish caps were what you got. I think a lot of dealer's put on better caps often to sell the car. I have seen several cars with painted wheels with full hub caps.

I like the Black with red interior and stripes. A Marti Report would have been nice to confirm the colors.
Marty, is that AM radio from a Ford truck? Not a correct Philco, 1968 Mustang radio.

Built on June 17 and delivered to Granby, Colorado, this 1968 High Country Special presents in great condition with just 53,900 miles on the odometer.
A ground-up restoration was performed in 2008, and the car is documented with known ownership history since new, its owner card, warranty facts booklet, owner’s manual, previous registrations, Ford research-assistance letter and a Marti Report.
Powered by the C-code 289/195 HP 2-barrel V-8 mated to a floor-shifted 3-speed automatic transmission, it is sharply finished in code-A Raven Black paint with red stripes and a dark red interior, and it rides on BF Goodrich Silvertown bias-ply white-stripe tires on 14-inch painted steel wheels wearing Mustang center caps.
