Wasn't this the car someone was trying to get rid of over a year ago on this forum? Seems like $3000 is a bit much for such a basketcase, what do you guys think?

A marti report maybe?
Jason, remember this is a 66', no Marti reports available.

Might Bob Teets be able to verify?

The Ford CAC report would be available. It might make mention on this document.
Nope. A CAC is pretty much worthless. I've requested them mutliple times, and even if I had one all it would show is a VIN and bucktag breakdown.

Marti reports only go back to '67 and Bob knows quite well about this car. In fact he and I are friends as we live crosstown from each other and he's helped me move it a few times (as recently as yesterday).

It was Bob's camera we used to take the pictures for the "Rare Finds" article done on our cars in '02 by Jerry Heasley for Mustang & Fords.

This car is legit, and fairly priced (with some wiggle) being it was the ONLY ONE. ;D

I've got more than $5000 into it, I'm not expecting it all back, but I've done pretty much all of the rust repair, which can be pretty danged expensive, as we all know, when it's done the right way.

HMMM, I wonder if a Chevy 396 will fit into that HCS, I just happen to have a nice 69 dated motor in the garage with no home, very interesting. ???

I wonder why Bob has not bought the car? I thought he liked rare HCS cars?
He would have, except he already has another '68 in his garage he's smack in the middle of. He doesn't have the space.

I was just over there yesterday and it's coming along fairly well. New side scoops and taillight panel fitted expertly by his main body guy Jim. Getting it as ready as possible for final bodywork and paint at Apex (the same guys who did my '69). Still alot of work ahead on that one.

You all can worry about all that squable about crossing lines with one of the big 3, I like them all, I have a 66 Chevelle SS in my garage parked right next to the CS. If iI had room I would most likely have a Mopar crammed in their also. Its the muscle car hobby I love, If anyone would like a picture of my Chevelle to hang in there garage let me know I will send Ya one ;D ;)

Doesn't look like it. If I where you, I would at least try and part it out before you decide to do away with it. At least try to get some salvage value out of it while realizing your sunken costs.

I wonder what it's worth by weight as scrap. I'm tired of frackin' with this car, but it would be a travesty to part it out due to its rarity. Guess I could donate it to some children's hospital and write it off. ::)
