I have a 1968 J-Code Coupe I have to sale. I am in Salt Lake City,
Utah. This car is very clean for a project. We dont want to sale it
but we need the money pretty bad. I am asking $2,500 Firm. this is
what I paid 1 years ago and I am only asking to get back the same....
A 1968 J-Code Coupe is a *Rare* Hard to find Mustang. Plus being a 65B
GT. Reducing the total production number of this type to only 9009
made - when completely restored this car is booked at near $20,000.
Unfortuanitly someone got a hold of it before me using most the
GT parts for a shelby project..
After market parts would only cost you about 3,000 to complete this
project. And getting original parts off ebay would be unknown amount
being prices are bids not set. Could be cheaper - could cost more -
depends on your patients??
Vin = #8F01J110486
8 = 1968
F = Dearborn Plant
01 = Hartop
J = 302 4V
Body = 65B (Deluxe)
Trim = 6A (Black)
Mileage = Unknown
1968 "GT" NADA VALUE
LOW BOOK = $6,143
AVERAGE = $12,155
HI BOOK = $20,410
Without the original Mustang Pony Interior subtract: 10%.. that still
gives me a low book value of about $5,500.... At $2,500 I am asking
less then half of low book value...
This GT Needs work! She ran when parked but needs body and interior
work. The hardtop has surface rust, she needs a new front right
fender, a grill and a front bumper, they were removed for the shelby
project.
The interior also needs a complete restoration to be original. This is
an AWESOME project car not needing any real major work - other then
the whole project itself feeling major. Most the GT emblems, the pony
seats, the dash pad, the insturment panel and dash panel, the roof
consol and center consol do need to be replaced ALL wiring harnesses
are in place - deluxe interior was just removed for the shelby
project.
It does still have the original deluxe steering wheel.. There is
original 67 mustang 2x2 seats in it but not the deluxe pony seats the
car is coded to have.
Of course if you do not care about it being original it would be a lot
cheaper to make clean daily driver..
Feel free to email me if you want to see a picture...
Thanks
