With those tail lights I don't think a Marti is necessary.
If anyone is interested in the car I can inspect it.

Looks like all new, repop, metal on left side and rear (could explain taillights).

The left rear quarter panel has a recessed reflector. So at least this area is not repop stuff as to my knowledge they are not reproduced. Trunk lid is red which seems to match the car color. This must be an early 1968 car to have the recessed reflector.

It would be great to have a better pic of the fiberglass to see if it is original Ford glass or repop stuff.

I spoke with the owner (Roc). He said he's owned the car for 11 years, all the bodywork has been done on the left side and the rear, but the right side still needs some work, as do the rear floor pans. He has all the replacement metal and a ton of other parts, plus extra GT/CS parts.

I'm going to take a look at it the weekend of the 26th and will post photos.

Here's a link to the photos.
http://s556.photobucket.com/user/Mo...5982 1280x960_zps7harwfwj.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

Here are some bullet points in no particular order:
- I ordered a Marti report
- The car runs and drives
- The dash pad is in great condition (see photos)
- The seller does not have a hood but he has everything else
- Most of the parts are in boxes in the backyard, under a tarp:mad:
- It's a factory AC car and he has all the parts
- He has the original door but replaced it with a new one (see photos)
- The floors have been repaired in the past, and need it again (see photos)
- The front passenger fender has holes for the horse emblem (see photo)
- He says he has the original grille but I didn't see it
- He has the original Lucas "England" fog lights and they are in good, but not great, condition
- He ordered quarters with the indents because he was going to install lights in them. One is installed or at the moment the car has two different styles of reflectors (see photos)
- The existing passenger side quarter had been poorly repaired. The lower patch panel is pop-riveted on (see photos)
- The engine is not original. It is from a J-code, engine stamped as 8J146741 (see photo)
- The new driver side quarter needs to be welded at the C-pillar (see photo)
- I forgot to ask if he has the metal tail light covers
- The underside looks solid, other then the rear floors and driver's floor (see photos)
- The seller bought the car in Oregon and has a Bill of Sale, no title. Supposedly, Oregon doesn't require titles after a certain age???
- The car certainly needs work, but it's fairly solid. The seller wants the car gone and it sounds like he's willing to sell it at a very low price, all parts included.

No, Not a waste of time!

Thank you for your due diligence on evaluating this car. For someone looking for a 1968 Mustang at an affordable price, you went the extra mile to help them make an informed decision. With the Marti Report you provided, it just shows what the car truly is. There are folks out there who wish to build a clone/Tribute car, and others who would like to invest in a factory built GT/CS. Your inspections you do help many others in their search, so again, this was not a waste of time. Thank you Arlie for all you do. Mike

I'll second what Mike said. Thanks for all you do Arlie. Sorry I wasn't able to go with you to look at it. Maybe on the next one.

Did he by any chance give up the Colorado/California Special VIN number so anyone buying it will know the VIN doesn't match the car?

Definitely one to look out for in the future.

Nice work Arlie.
