Trunk area sanitizing

I'm in the process of sanitizing the trunk area of my C/S. What exactly is the box marked MIDLAND 508? It's presently mounted on the trunk floor adjacent to the left tail light assembly. Seems to be part of the tail light circuitry (which all work fine). Can't find info in my shop manual.

Never seen or heard of that box before.

On another note, I find sanitizing a trunk with bleach is best, especially if the body leaked. I usually line the trunk with plastic before hauling bodies around though. LOL.. Just kidding. Mike

ps. See you in L.A.

I found it & figured it out.
The prev owner (who did a 1st Class restoration) installed a relay assembly to eliminate the high current draw through the turn signal switch. I swear, the more I dig into this car, the better it gets!!

The only problem is it is kinda small, one body trunk, not like a town car or caddy that are 3 or 4 body trunks.:lipsseal:
