I went from a 120 mph to 140 mph speedometer. can some one tell me do I have to change speedometer cable gear? the needle will bounce between 0 to 25 mph and then smooths out.

Don't know about the speedo gear.
The bouncing needle can usually be cured by lubing the cable. I squirt LPS2 into the top end, and let it gravity feed to lube the cable.
