I know this has been talked about briefly here before, but Ford offered a '68 Sportsman Special package very similar to the 1966-1967 High Country Special.

It was offered on the 1968 Bronco, F100 and F250. It came in one of 3 special paint colors; Boulder Bronze, Mountain Green, Sky Blue

A pair of the brass fender badges showed up recently on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-NOS-19...Bronco&hash=item1c4d1a221d&vxp=mtr&rmvSB=true

Again, very similar to the 66-67 HCS shield badges. I wonder if the same company made them?

And here are the photos and description from the ad:
From the eBay ad - Here is an extremely very rare set of new old stock emblems for the Ford Bronco, Sportsman Special edition, which based on my research was a limited edition sold through western Ford dealers or dealerships back in 1968, in states such as Colorado. I am not sure how long after 1968 they continued making them. May have been even made before 1968, but not much information is out there on these. Apparently, it was a Ford dealership package with other features including a gun rack, and some other things. Sometimes referred to as the Rocky Mountain edition, or simply Sportsman Edition. Very rare indeed! These are triangle shaped badges or emblems with the original screws for mounting. They measure 4 inches on each side the triangle. They are painted green, white and red. The gold is the metal color which appears to be brass. The gold is not painted but is the bare metal background color. Great looking original never installed emblems. Perfect touch for a show quality restoration of your trim, scripts, chrome, etc on your 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976.

Very cool! Wouldn't it be fun to have a Sportsman Special Bronco to park alongside the GT/CS or HCS in the garage.
