You Tube Video

Does anyone know how to save a You Tube video to a memory stick? I'd love to copy that GT/CS commercial from 1968.

Thanks.

There are a number of ways to download Youtube videos to your PC. They mainly fall into three categories:
(1) Purchase specific software
(2) Use a website
(3) Add an extension to your browser

Here's an article on the subject...

The easiest method (IMO) is to add an "add-on" (or "extension") to your browser. The Mozilla Firefox browser seems to have the most add-ons. Just do a Google search for "youtube download add-on firefox" or something similar. You'll find a number of them, most free, all with ratings from users.

Here's a blog on the subject...

Thanks for the information. Sounds rather complicated.

Complicated only because there are so many options. Here's an add-on for Firefox that might fit what you're looking for...

The reason this is not simpler (and not integrated into the basic browser) is that a lot of videos on Youtube are copyrighted by the owners. So Google (and, hence, the Chrome browser) does not make it easy to download videos or add extensions to do so. Firefox, on the other hand, is a bit more flexible. There may also be extensions for MicroSoft Edge but I don't usually use that browser... just Chrome and Firefox.

Thanks. I appreciate the information, but for my purposes, saving a video or two, it's not worth the fuss.
