1968 Debated it a lot, but glad I did it....

That looks great! I am considering doing this to my car too when I get it repainted back to Presidential Blue. Did you only do the hood and cowl area or did you carry it over the trunk?

Nice...

On the trunk, no I think that looks like "trying too hard" and never liked the look. IMHO over the roof of a coupe look even worse... (I thought about white stripes on the vinyl roof *)

As this was a factory option, but not done on my car, I made the compromise as with the black-on-white already, and the added front spoiler, just thought it tied it all together really well.... very happy with the results..

* NOT! :wink:

Your stripes look great, may I ask what kind of black did you end up using? Also, if you were to open your hood, how far did you paint (or not paint) inside the engine bay? ... looks cool :thumb: ...

it is a matte black, very low gloss, but not full flat. I'd have to ask my painter. We taped just below the holes for the cowl seal horizontally and then just oversprayed thru the gap... that way the stripe end at the cowl seal and don't go all over the cowl lip. Not "correct" but the look I wanted....
