Notes or ModsOriginal numbers matching block was rebuilt about 14 years ago by a previous owner and slightly warmed over at the time. Edelbrock intake manifold and headers have been added. We've dressed the engine with a Cobra air cleaner and matching Cobra valve covers. Last summer we installed a new set of Ford blue plug wires to dress things up a bit.

Notes & ModificationsWe've installed a restored set of factory chrome styled wheels with GT caps since the car is a factory GT equipped model. At the same time a new set of BF Goodrich radial TA's were installed on the new wheels. The entire wiring harness was replaced, and the missing Lucas fog lights were sourced, restored, and installed. The interior was restored, front seats recovered, dash rebuilt, and a factory clock installed. We also installed a Shelby Cobra style wood rimmed steering wheel last summer. There is a set of traction bars installed on the car at the moment to help keep the "rubber on the road".
Still a bit more to go this year, and then hopefully it's all finished except for basic ongoing upkeep!
2018 update ... OK, so recently we quit procrastinating and pulled the motor, did a "light" rebuild (crank and rod bearings and a new timing chain), replaced the old Hooker headers with a brand new set of custom built tri Y's designed to clear the clutch and power steering, installed a new clutch and pressure plate, faced the flywheel, finally re-installed the power steering (which wouldn't clear or work with the old set of Hooker headers), installed a new 4 core radiator and a factory fan shroud. Just a little bit of fine tuning left now ... (we need to adjust the carb and timing a bit) ... and we're done for now! Finally applied for and got the BC collector plates for the car so that it will be licenced and insured for all 12 months of the year at a reasonable insurance cost. Now if the weather will just improve we'll get it out onto the road more often!
