For Sale Mustang GT/CS (California Special) Recognition Guide and Owner's Manual #501

My comment was not a knock on Paul, or the quality of the book. I own one. If Marti AutoWorks web store is up to date, you can buy a new copy for $100. Paul’s own website says he has copies he will sign for $400 each. Maybe they are all sold, but it doesn’t look that way.

    1968 trunk mat

Thanks for the picture of the felt. I really thought the felt was like insulation under the pad. I took it out and added the plaid mat. Not sure if a convertible trunk is different dimensions to a coupe, but I have this set if anyone wants it. It’s got some stains but otherwise very nice...

    1968 trunk mat

Jeff, do you happen to have a picture of the felt in a trunk? I think I have a set sitting around. It came with my 68 convertible, but wasn’t in the car.

1968 Why not convert my GT/CS to convertible

That's my old car. It was in pristine shape when I sold it 9 or 10 years ago. It was built to all the correct cal special specs, Mike even sent me one of his grills and Bob donated the lights and pedestals. Previous owner even added all the factory stamps. It sold last summer for high $40's...

For Sale Red HCS in Denver

I think Dan is best to speak with about the car. I looked at it for about 10 minutes. The car had previous front and rear damage. Most of it repaired though. Dan mentioned that some panels and torque boxes probably need to be replaced. Front of hood had a dent that had been somewhat...

For Sale Red HCS in Denver

The owners name is Dan (not to be confused with Dan Teets). As mentioned the Marti Report has been posted to the facebook ad. Dan has been a local collector and restorer in the Denver area for a long time. He knows his stuff. He took this car in partial trade for a restoration job he...

    10/10 Cam

Chevy had a 30-30 cam that was popular in the 60's. 30-30 was related to lash. Was it a chevy? Maybe a typo in the ad?

    GT/CS Convertible for Sale

I missed the posting before it was deleted. Wonder if it was my old car. I sold it about 5 years ago here in Denver. Have not seen it since.

    1968 HCS count

I think the reason a HCS would be changed into a GT/CS is that when you buy the stripe package it comes with the GT/CS section that goes over the scoop. The HCS decal is no longer produced and getting harder and harder to find.

    1968 Block casting I. D.

Neil, It is a 289 Block that was used from 65-67. The date code shows 1965. If there is a vin number stamped on the side of the block, it would have been used for a K code HP 289, but there is no difference between the regular 289 block and the HP block from what I have heard.
