Where is "War of the Worlds" with Tom Cruises fastback (Shelby?)?

How about Bonanza, Little Joe drove a Mustang, oh wait that was a Pinto.

Wow, I've never even heard of most of those movies! I don't know how accurate the info is though, because the original Eleanor in Gone in 60 Seconds was a '73-not a '71.

I think every movie Hillary Duff is in she has a mustang convertible and in the movies The Princess Diaries there is one. I think they are both 66`s. There is a music video by Ashley Simpson with a Mustang in it too. Not sure what year that is.

There's a 1969 movie with Dick Van Dyke called "Some Kind of Nut". It's got a 68' GT convertible. It's shown many times in the movie. I've never seen this one on any list.

That is one of the biggest problems over the years. Many folks I have talked with all assumed it was a 67 fastback used in Bullitt. I can't remember how many dicussions we had even back in 1969 as a Senior in high school and actually even had a few fights over what year was used. There's a fairly large article in my 1968 GT 390 World Registery Book on this very subject. It even talks about Steve Mcqueens attempt to buy the car back along with efforts to track the one car that wasn't destroyed in the movie. My 68 GT 390 Coupe is about as close to a true Bullitt car as I'll ever get.

So has anybody seen anymore mustangs in movies, music videos or commercials? I saw that "Pink" has a video called "Stupid Girls" where she is washing an awesome black or blue 69 mustang. I think its a Mach 1. Then there is Ashley Simpson who has a 66 I think, in one of her videos.

Have never seen the movie, (1966) but remember hearing the French movie "A Man and a Woman" featured a 66 Mustang;who can forget Tiffany's white '64 convertible forced off the road by James Bond in Goldfinger? For that matter James himself drove a red '71 Mach I in "Diamonds are Forever"

and there are many, many more:see the very interesting www.imcdb.com (French website) very comprehensive website with many cars including Mustangs...

Donna D. good catch, yes Sissy in Urban Cowboy drives a very faded red 67 convertible ...

A new 2006 movie called "The Covenant" has a beautiful 2005-06? Mustang GT convertible all through the movie. One cool scene is where the guy drives head-on into a log truck, the car explodes into pieces and then repairs itself quick enough to land on the road on all four wheels again behind the log truck. Awesome graphics! My 16 yr old daughter sure liked all the eye-candy in this one. I could`nt take my eyes off that new Mustang, I suppose the guys in the movie were cute too.

has anyone else ever spotted the GT/CS in the original (1974) version of gone in 60 seconds. during the car chase they go under an expressway viaduct and a blue GT/CS passes on the expressway overhead of eleanor.
paul's book also mentions another movie that has a GT/CS in it, i believe it was called "goin' all the way". i've never seen it. i have seent he episode of the A-Team with the GT/CS in it, they show it a few times. it's parked outside of the entrance of a casino. the episode originally aired in 1984 (2nd season) called "it's a desert out there". i think they have these old episodes on DVD now.
paul says there is also an episode of "the bionic woman" with a GT/CS in it, but can't locate the episode details.

Going all the way!

I've seen this movie years ago. I couldn't tell you what it was about, but I do remember the opening scene. It starts out paning across a Sunlit Gold w/ black stripe GT/CS. It starts at the rear on the right side, and pans into the passanger compartment where two teenagers are necking. Your first thought is "Where did these kids get a GT/CS?" Then you find out the car is up on jack stands in daddys garage. Nice shot.
