1968 NOS GT/CS Stripe Kit

I just won an ebay bid for an NOS GTCS black stripe kit for about $30 including shipping. I just put in a minimum bid not thinking I would win but ended being the only bidder. Anyways, I am a bit concerned about whether the glue would still hold up after all these years. Would I be risking the paint job?

Or am I better off getting the kit that Neil shared a while back on this forum.

Any thoughts?

The OEM "Scotchcal" 3650 has a stated manufacturers shelf life of 2 years(see datasheet link below).

I have installed decals that were 4-5 years old successfully, but I am thinking 45+ years (depending on if NOS is factory era or service replacement from a later date) is a stretch...

I'd suggest it is a nice display case item.
