Looks like a very high-quality restoration. Again, I would want to see it in person for front end damage. Hood locks and the running horses are a simple fix. Just because it is not perfect, it has the paperwork as Arlie presented. My guess is this car would be a great car for someone in our hobby.

Well, they tried. I don't quite understand the overspray pattern on the underside. If the pinch weld is white why is there black overspray??
There are a lot of other little oddities.

IIRC light colored cars had the pinch weld seam painted black, but I think it was done with a brush- not sprayed on.
The Marti shows Power Steering option, but it looks like the P/S has been removed.
That's the kicker. The pinch weld on this car is white (even though it should be black) so I'm not sure what the restorer was trying to represent with the overspray.
I didn't realize the black paint was applied by hand. Does that mean it should have horizontal brush marks?

They called it "slop" if I remember correctly. It consisted of left over paint and pretty much slopped on, so I doubt that there is any right or wrong way to do it.

I agree. Yes, it very may well have been in an accident and an inspection is needed. The price IMHO, is great. Maybe too great. This dealer has been around since 1979. $30k from a dealer really seems low to me given that they will be taking at least 10% of the selling price from the owner.

It was in fact sprayed on. There was a paint shield held along the rocker while the black was sprayed producing a soft edged line. Most painters want to do a tape line that makes a hard line. We expect to see body color over spray on the floor pan with black over spray over it. On rare occasions when it was missed, or equipment failed it was brushed on at quality control.
