1968 AC hose routing by the firewall

Hello,
We are trying to hook up the AC hoses from the AC compressor (Factory AC) to the pieces coming through the firewall. Having issues with the routing. The hoses are from Vintage Air and most of the diagrams I saw online shows the hose from the compressor being routed thru the export brace. None of the diagrams show how they get routed to the firewall area.

The issue I have is that the firewall side of the hose doesn't have any bend in it (straight connector) and really difficult to flex it to fit to the connection in the firewall area.

Would anyone be able to post a picture of how they have the A/C hoses routed on the right side of the engine?

Thank you.
