The first “new” California Special is already 15 years old.
Would it be blasphemous for me to sell my green classic and replace it with a red almost classic?

We have a 2013 MCA special edition that I love to drive, got 29MPG at 80MPH on a trip a week ago. But I am not giving up the old ones for it!

Bear in mind that the later you go in model years, the more powerful the engine. My 2018 GT puts out 460hp. I love it!!

The only issue I'm aware of is horsepower limitations. I've heard stories of engines grenading when you try to go above a certain level. 450-500 hp seems to stick in my mind. 460hp for a 5.0 is real close to what the '07-'08 GT500's with a 5.4 put out (500).

I have an '07 GTCS purchased in 2008 (120K miles on it now). The 4.6L 3V has been very reliable for me in stock form. The only challenge has been changing the spark plugs. The 3V heads have a unique plug design that can become a nightmare of you can't get the broken ones out with the extraction tool. I only broke off 1 ;-) But had the tool in hand. And successfully removed the broken end.
