1968 GT/CS headlights and taillights

I wanted to make this post in the hopes that this may be able to help someone else

As you know I had a problem with my lights flickering and my dash lights cutting off and on... Also my brake light switch wiring would get very warm..
This was my cure

I started off with cleaning every ground that I can find
I went on to replace their headlight dimmer switch also replaced the brake light switch just for good measure these two parts were purchased through Napa

I went on to replace my headlight switch I did something a little bit different with the headlight switch... I did some research And found that the 1967 and 68 cougarHead lice which has a bigger circuit breaker in it... See that the GT/CS is running 6 taillights like the cougar... I went with a 1967 cougar headlight switch without the vacuum ports
I went on to replace all 6 taillights with LED plasma 1157 red and for my parking lights I went with LED Plasma 1157 yellow I also had to run to electronic flashers

I also installed some hella h4 headlight

Plan was to get most of The Strain off of the headlight switch... I believe that this was a success... And with those Led plasma in the rear... The brake light whirring doesn't get warm at all

Dont forget the fuse block can also be a culprit! I also went to the plasma bulbs in the rear. Got them from West Coast Cougars (10043) They're not cheap, but they do the trick! Be sure to clean the sockets in the housing so they have good grounds! That is definitely a problem point! Of course, the ground wires themselves on the taillight housing must be secure. It eliminated all of my problems. Thankfully I found a thread here from years ago to point me in the right direction a few years ago. So much knowledge here! Thanks everyone for sharing their info!
