Does anyone know are there spacers or washers. Between the shifter and the shifter bracket. Were it mounts to the transmission on a 4 speed top loader, or do you just use the shoulder bolts.

The Ford parts manual shows a washer on top of the rubber grommet. I'll do a little more research and see if I can find out why type of washer it is.
I can't figure out what type of washer it is but it's part number 356590 (XX-171).

356590 is a 7/16" .469" ID, .781" OD, .109" thk steel flat washer

At cjponyparts.com on there on line catlog part hw1622 shows a washer on top but they don't give you one in the kit. Thank you for your help.
