Hi Dan,

I wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. I considered your dad a close friend. I came to Denver a few years back when your dad was still in good shape. I contacted him before I made the trip from California and did not know what to expect when I came to visit. I arrived at your parents home around 9 am and was welcomed like I was a member of the family. I was invited to have breakfast with your mom and dad. After breakfast it was time to go to the garage. Unfortunately it had snowed the evening before so we weren't able to drive any of your dad's Mustangs. We did jump in his truck and began an adventure that I will always remember. He took me to every car shop, parts store and body shop that he knew and loved. At one stop I found an N.O.S. Ivy Gold deluxe gear shift handle for my Cal Special. It was one of the most enjoyable car days I've ever had. At the end of the day your mom gave me a cookbook from here collection because she had heard me say what a great cook my wife was and she wanted me to take the book home to her. Jan still has that cookbook.

The last time I saw your dad was in Las Vegas for the 50th anniversary of the Mustang. We stood in the registration line together for well over an hour and during that time we had a great conversation. I deeply admired your dad and I could tell from his comments that he was very proud of his boys. He talked about which car was going to which son. He was a special man and I am proud to have known him.

All the best to you and your family. Bob truly will be missed.

Ron

Here’s a few pictures from the Celebration of Life party. 150+ people including students my Dad taught, teachers he worked with, car friends and family. 60 cars in the outfield. A good life lived.

That is so cool. I can't think of a better send off, Bob would have loved it.

Sorry for your loss Dan & family.

Bob was a great guy with a ton of knowledge. I had the pleasure of meeting him on 1 of the Pony Trails. He will be missed.
