She became friends with Steve Mcqueen and during the filming of the movie he went down to Hughson Ford in San Francisco With her and picked out said car. He drove it a few times on location in the city. To make a long story short I bought the car from Ann (it was a total basket case had not been driven in ten yeas but she was still very particular to whom she would sell it to. I totaly restored the car (took me 5 years to do it) but before I could show it to Ann it was stolen in Berkeley Ca. on 4/7/98 never saw it again. To say it hurts is a huge underststement. I fuckin hate car thieves and some punk like Nicolas Cage makes a living glorifying this really gets me pissed off. I guess time doesnt heal all wounds just gives you more time to think about it
