For Sale 1968 HCS in Illinois CL

I didn’t see a VIN disclosed, so you must have some personal knowledge of the car or seller to know it is in your registry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For Sale 1968 HCS in Illinois CL

Also no power steering or brakes. A little uncommon in my experience for a 302 car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For Sale 1968 HCS in Illinois CL

Other red flags: Standard interior seats and door cards with the wrong window cranks paired with deluxe interior interior dash bezels. Non-1968 steering wheel. No Marti report shown, VIN # or door tag shown to allow verification of authenticity or configuration. Honestly, smells like a...

    1968 8R01C142543 Spotted - For Sale

8R01C142543 spotted today at the VMOA car show in Campbell, CA with a For Sale sign on it. The car is not in the registry. Appears to be Wimbledon white with possibly original paint in fair condition. Lucas lights, incorrect pedestals. Body seems in good condition, but I did not see under the...

    1968 Deluxe Steering Wheel Questions

I have seen several Marti reports and window stickers showing the deluxe wheel as a standalone option, including my car. Maybe someone has a deluxe Marti report that reveals how many came with the standalone deluxe wheel? The Mustang by the Numbers book doesn't break down this option.

    1968 Deluxe Steering Wheel Questions

My car is a standard interior model (black) but was ordered with the deluxe wheel option. I have the original deluxe wheel (not installed) awaiting restoration. There is currently a standard black wheel installed with a black surround and black center pad. If I can verify that the car would...

    1968 Deluxe Steering Wheel Questions

Does anyone know if the deluxe steering wheel center pad was always wood-grain? Or did it come matched to the interior color when the wheel was ordered as a standalone option on a standard interior car? Does anyone have a source for the wood-grain center pad?

For Sale Highly Optioned J Code in need of restoration

Anyone else notice what appears to be a "Branded Mustang" top emblem in the right side photo? Although it is more likely that the badge was a "custom" touch added by the owner somewhere along the way, it is possible that a dealership ordered a branded kit for the car to customize it further...

    . Repro Starter Solenoid Problem

Wondering if anyone is using the repro starter solenoid sold by Marti Autoworks and if you have had issues with it "sticking". I have had three of them stick, so I'm assuming that there is a design or quality problem, but can't rule out that there isn't a problem with the supply voltage or...

    Had Enough

Sunny and 60s in NorCal today. Will take mine out for some exercise later. Sorry for your pain. I used to live in Mass. Headed west after 133" of snow one winter. You know it's time to get out when the Weather Channel shows up in your neighborhood to broadcast their worst weather in America...

1968 Marvel Mystery Oil - Opinions?

Thanks to all for the feedback. Seems like most agree that MMO might help and won't hurt anything. Also interested in opinions and experiences with using it as a fuel additive. Anyone use it regularly, or occasionally? What effects, if any, do you feel? Improved idle, mileage, power, etc...

1968 Marvel Mystery Oil - Opinions?

After my last oil change, I developed an intermittent lifter tick on cold start that goes away as the engine starts to come up to temp. It sounds like a single lifter may be sticking just a bit, so I'm not too concerned, but I am slightly annoyed by it and would like to make it go away. Before...

Felt it in Santa Clara, quite a way south of American Canyon. Woke us up, could feel the waves. No damage here thankfully.

    '66 A-Code 4-speed barn find -- what's its value?

I believe the car you are referencing is a '65, not a '66. In any case, it is not the same car.
