I went from a 120 mph to 140 mph speedometer. can some one tell me do I have to change speedometer cable gear? the needle will bounce between 0 to 25 mph and then smooths out.

sending unit I just took out new sending unit. Ground it to frame and it works what now???!!!

Ground gas tank Used 8 gauge wire ran wire from leaf spring shock plate to gas outlet on sending unit. Still did not work.

The gas gauge shows full when yellow wire was grounded. So I am assuming I have to take sending unit back out.
