Yes, the red HCS IS now owned by Marty. I bought this car in the early '80's and sold it sometime later (I just had to have this '78 Silver Anniv. Corvette) to Ernie Gonqales, so it recently came out of that collection. This picture was taken by Jerry Heasley on Trail Ridge Road here in Colorado, for a Early Mustang Club of Colorado club photo shoot. My (this) car was featured in Mustang Monthly in February 1986, and the whole club shoot was featured in the Hot Rod Mustang Magazine in August 1987 ie. this magazine did a series of club profiles for awhile in the '80's. Believe it or not, we still run that license plate on my wif'e's Crown Vic. If Marti wishes those plates, I could claim "lost" and apply for new plates, maybe??????????? HC Bob here.

...Nice article! In '09 at a car show, I was approached by a guy who said he he found what could be that missing R-code in a S.F Bay Area garage. 'Said it was white with blue stripe, 428 with 'R' VIN and complete, but not driven and boxes stacked all around it. The elderly couple said they were hanging on to it for grand kids & such and offered no further dialog... This was in his former neighborhood where the garage happened to be open while he was driving by.

I wasn't going to sell my CS/CJ, then I met my now good friend John, and
saw how much he loves Mustangs, and how well he takes care of them.
He is also in a position to be able to restore it to a better than new condition,
and will never want or need to sell it.

I would say I have it darn good,
The guy that sold me the CS/CJ in 68, lives a block away,
The guy I sold it to and is going to restore the CS lives a mile away,
I will be able to see it when I want, drive it, and my friend wants me
be sitting next to the CS at car shows.

Mustang monthly artical

I've been looking for an old issue of Mustang Monthly that featured the GT/CS in depth. It was not an artical featuring a single car, it was an artical going over the history of the GT/CS's. Information included in the article were things like how many were built with each engine, color, interior, options (down to how many had bench seats). It also had information about the registery.

I had a subscription to the magazine from the early 90's to about the year 2000. I had that month with my GT/CS for years and its gone missing. I'd really love to get a copy of it again. Anyone have an idea of what month it was?
