My wife and I entered our car in the Sandpoint ID Lost in the 50’s parade yesterday evening. I would estimate there were somewhere between 200 and 300 cars, trucks, rat rods and even a helicopter. A little something for everybody. The parade was at least a couple of miles long thru the downtown streets of Sandpoint which is a resort type town located on the north end of Lake Pend Orielle (a very large lake) and hometown to the nicest ski area locally. The spectator turnout was huge and very appreciative of the beautiful cars, etc in the parade.
Lost in the 50’s is a four day event with the parade followed by a street dance, a top notch car show, and many concert/dances with live nationally known bands from the past providing the entertainment.
Here’s a few pics of our car lined up for the start. The rain held off but I hit thousands of bugs on the drive home of 60ish miles. Gonna be busy scrubbing bug splats.
