Take a look at this high tech operation in Brazil. According to the report, Ford would like to replicate this plant in the US, but can't because of the UAW. Regardless of where the fault lies for the current sorry state of automotive production in the US, this is an interesting video.

Looks to me like Ford doesn't even build the vehicle! Looks like all outside suppliers using space inside of a building that has a big blue oval out front. The supplier employees probably make the equivalent of $5.00/ hour (if that), there's a reason why they (Ford) took the labor to South America. I can't really blame the UAW for not wanting a plant like this built here in the USA where the emplyees can make a decent wage and raise a family on it!
