1968 Temp gauge doesnt work HELP!

needle on C. Doesnt move when I start car. With test light I have a "PULSE" at the nipple on manifold.

what do I do next?

With the Key in Acc or Run position, ground the wire at the temp sensor. If the Temp gage pegs out (HOT) the gage & wiring to it is OK. Let us know results. If no good we'll go to step 2.

When you install the new sensor DO NOT try to seal the threads with teflon or sealant. The metal-to-metal contact is what makes the Ground for the sensor.

Another tipis to drain off a half a gallon or so of the antifreeze. That will save a big mess when pulling the sender unless you are really fast. I tried it once put my thumb over the hole and then dropped the new sender. Well you know what happened then.
