David,

I have a mild 289 you can have if you just pay for shipping. It's just sitting around gathering dust.

Casey

Thanks Casey. Is it your original, numbers matching, motor though? i wonder what it would cost to ship something like that...

it would be nice just to have the car up and running again...

Took the bottom end apart today, that block was destroyed.

One of the main bearing cap bolts fell out when we dropped the pan and many others were loose, it looks like it was about to fly apart.

Saw alot of wear on the bearings...some of the rod bearings were down to the brass.

Two of the main caps were cracked, and the block was broken so badly that after pulling one of the main bearing caps, a big chunk could just be plucked off the block.

The only part of the block that was intact was the back, if not for that, it would have split in two hahaha

David. I have a better deal for you. I will PM you. But it will probably have to wait to spring, which may be too late for what you need. Casey
