Seen conflicting views/info I have yellow and a very light silver.

Which would be correct for an April Build GTCS, and a Dec 67 Build San Jose S code...

Most commonly see the silver. As I recall the label color was indicator of the rating. I think you would see the yellow on cars with AC.

The color of the ink/paint used in marking the top of the regulator is directly related to the stamping C8AF or C8TF and the rating
