Deestix's '68 Cal Special in NJ

1968 California Special, Lime Gold with Ivy Gold deluxe interior, factory fitted with 390 2-barrel, C6 automatic, GT package, A/C, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, upper and lower consoles, clock, remote left side mirror, tinted glass, deluxe seat belts. All options confirmed as original to car by Marti report. Original DSO is 72 (San Jose), but Marti Report states car sold new in Hawaii.
I bought car in August 2003 in Maryland. I've driven the car about 4,000 miles since purchase, doing only 'routine' maintenance and repairs. Biggest job so far was replacing heater core, which I did myself. Took a few weeks, but I got it done!
I know little of the car's history prior to my purchase, and would someday like to know how it got from Hawaii to Maryland.
I belong to the Garden State Region (NJ) Mustang club, and in May of 2004, was one of a handful of club members whose car was allowed to be photographed at the NY World's Fair Unisphere (site of the original Mustang launch). See photo in gallery.
In May of 2005, a buddy and I drove my GT/CS in the New England 1000 vintage car rally. Photos from that event, including a gymkhana, are also in the gallery. This is no trailer queen!
I've shown the car at local shows and cruise nights, and as a West Coast car now living on the East Coast, it never fails to gather a lot of attention.
