Mustang Club "Toy Run" in Victoria

On Sunday, September 21st the Mustang Club of Victoria co-hosted a fundraiser "Toy Run" for the Salvation Army Christmas Fund with a local Chevy club which we attended since our GT/CS is FINALLY back on the road. They hosted a one hour cruise through some of our beautiful Victoria area backroads, finishing up at the Beaver Lake Park picnic area, where the participants gave donations of toys and cash to representatives of the Victoria area Salvation Army. Even "Santa" was present to help organize the cruise event! Although this is a Christmas fund raiser the Mustang Club hosts it in September so that the weather is better and the participants will be willing to bring out their hot rods and muscle cars for the cruise.
Since my mother-in-law Iris is out visiting from Manitoba, she came along for the ride and had an opportunity to see some of our local Victoria area scenery.
When we arrived at the early morning staging area, we managed to get parked next to a new model GT/CS. Couldn't have planned it any better ....!
