2008 GT/CS and 1965 Coupe (aka Works in Progress)

Believe it or not, FRP has still NOT released the supercharger kit for the 2008 Mustang GT. So...I've said to heck with the warranty and am having a 2007 FRP 100 hp Whipple SC installed on the car (Mod 2). The 2007 SC will work with my 2008 cold-air kit. I was told that WHEN the 2008 SC is released, it will not. You will need to use the closed air-intake box provided with the kit in order to meet emissions requirements. Frustrating! After the 2007 SC is installed, I will take the car to be tuned on a dynometer using an aftermarket tuner. I'll report the RWHP in a future posting. Other Mod 2 modifications include black wrinkle valve covers, slotted disc rotors and Nitrogen in the tires. All of the work should be completed in about 3 weeks. I'll post more then.

Well, the FRP 100 hp Whipple SC has been installed along with an SCT tuner. The car was delivered to Amazon Tuning in Anderson, SC for final tuning using their Mustang dynometer. I'm hoping for about 430 rwhp. I'm real pleased with look of the SC; it looks very stock. Note the finishing touch on the rear deck lid; diminutive SVT and SC badges. Hemi Chargers, Challengers, Z28s, SSs, etc. should take heed. I'll take it to the track soon to get 0-60 and 1/4 mi times. After, I'll post the stock, Mod1 and Mod2 times for comparison.
