For Sale Time to let her go...

After almost 10 years with Brandy our GTCS I have finally decided to let her go. She has been a loyal friend through a move from Hawaii to Texas, two house moves in Texas, and a birth of a child! I really would love to let her go to one of the members here who I have always looked to for advice...

1968 C4 transmission shift linkage rod

I was able to get the linkage hooked up today. Just seemed like they both should be full forward in order to operate properly. But I hooked up the linkage to the transmission first then had the wife bring the shifter back to see what would happen. Turned out I was able to make the connection...

1968 C4 transmission shift linkage rod

That is the size of the 2 parts I bought. Is there a procedure that I'm missing on install??

1968 C4 transmission shift linkage rod

Getting the final touches done on my CS, and noticed I couldn't find my shift linkage rod. I ordered one, climbed underneath and realized it was too short. So I ordered another one...different part number, and that too was too short! So now I think I'm the problem. The shifting part on the...

Thank you for the help on this one. Here are more pictures of the bracket.

    1968 Carburetor upgrade

Full disclosure...I have one roughly 1/4" round shim that I cannot place where it goes. I put the 3 others behind the bracket that holds the AC pump and attaches to the cyl heads. Do you think one of those bolts takes 2 shims? This is an aftermarket AC system I think it's called Classic Auto AC...

    1968 Carburetor upgrade

I went ahead and bought a new Holley 2 barrel 350CFM carb (doesn't help the wallet that I have a gigantic Summit Racing store nearby) for my newly rebuilt 289. I'm hoping this will bring a bit more performance to the car while still keeping the stock appearance and stock 2 barrel manifold. Any...

    1968 Engine update

All, An update on my engine build and a few questions that I'm hoping the pros on this forum can help with. After a long COVID related delay I finally got my parts back from the machine shop and have most of the engine assembled. All has gone very smoothly so far. Question #1: Valve...

    1968 Engine update

Just checked my block and it does match the vin. Looks like it’s still the original. That makes me happy.

    1968 Engine update

I'll check it tonight. I've always been led to believe that this is the original engine. However, it underwent a complete rebuild in 2011. I found the pics and documentation last night, very interesting to see the history and the old photos. Do you recommend that I do a complete tear down, or...

    1968 Engine update

After many months I finally tore into the engine. Upon removing the intake manifold I noticed a pool of oil along the right side bank of openings and inside one of the openings (not sure of the technical term). All else looked really good under the manifold. Any ideas on the cause of the oil...

    1968 Engine options

That's great! Part of my dilemma is deciding between the purest GT/CS and more ponies. As she sits she is pure stock (minus the after market AC) but for the most part stock. I don't want to lose the purity of the stock condition by pumping her up too much but on the other hand...it would be fun...

    1968 Engine options

Question is if they according to the previous owner bored out the cylinders to the size equivalent of a 302 would that require a larger harmonic balancer?
