For Sale 289 4 spd locking diff GT/CS For sale in OR

Yeah, I had some really fun ideas on how to paint it. Unfortunately I won't have any $$ to work on it while I'm in school so it would essentially have to sit in limbo for 4 years after the paint job.

For Sale 289 4 spd locking diff GT/CS For sale in OR

I've decided to go back to school and need to either sell my GT/CS project or haul it down to TX with me. I could go either way so I'm pretty firm on the price, its just a logistical nightmare to get it down there now. Here's the details: 1968 GT/CS factory 289 wide-ratio 4 spd. It was...

1968 Play an iPod in an AM Radio

There's a guy on ebay that rebuilds stock corvair radios and builds in a ipod jack in the process for relatively cheap. I don't know if he does Ford radios but I'd bet he'd consider if there was enough interest. I'll see if I can find one of his listings and post it later on.

    . Car/Parts craigslist search

I've used craigshelper as well, and ads tend to show up a bit faster and it picks up the little cities in between the big ones. I like the pages within pages view, but it has the potential to eat up a ton of time. I feel like jaxed's result page is quite a bit more user friendly but it doesn't...

    . Car/Parts craigslist search

Hey, I came across this site doing some searches for parts and thought it'd be a good resource to post. The link is to a search for craigslist adds on 68 mustangs with the keyword California Special, you can do parts searches, regional searches, different years, etc...anyway, it's been a good...

1968 Photos of CS with Torque Thrust Wheels?

I'm particularly partial to the torque thrusts with the machined rim and dark metal spokes (I can't for the life of think of what that's called right now).

1968 9-inch Rear End on Mustang GT

Hey, I think I may be the guy with the equa-lock (although mine is not a J-code). I am by no means knowledgeable on the rear ends, so I'm not sure if it is a 9" or 8". I was going to check a month or two ago but I spaced it out and now the car is at the paint shop. Until I get over there...

    Disposable Gloves

I've found nitrile gloves to work really well too. I can usually find a box or two at Fred Meyer or a decent pharmacy.

    1968 Lucas lamp question

What do you guys know about these kind of Lucas lamps? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=110321808760 The ebay add said they were NOS but the part numbers don't match (C8ZZ vs C8WZ?) and they look totally different. I know they're not the...

    Help me finish my GT/CS!!

I know this isn't a California Special post but I thought it might slip by since I'm doing this to pay for the paint and body work for my GT/CS... I'm selling my 1978 landcruiser...it's a sad day, but the only way I can fund the rest of the restoration. Could you pass this along if you or...

    Pretty sure this isn't a GT/CS

That is a pretty sweet console though (shelby right?).

CS in Madras OR on CL

Somehow I missed this over the last couple of days but just in case it hasn't been noticed yet by anyone else: http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/car/623486966.html I've never seen the C-stripe over the GT/CS stripe before...

Can you "feel" your Rear Spoiler's Downforce?

I used to have a 67 C-code coupe that I "tested" a few times. When it began to top out at 100+ the predominate squirrelly-ness came from the front end and not from the rear. It had a pretty stock front and rear suspension, although it had been lowered 1" and poly bushings were used. If I was...

    Trashed 289 - now what?

Good call Arlie. I'm definitely trying to keep mileage within reason. I don't want to have to rely on the car for a daily driver but after spending all this time and money I'm sure as hell going to want to drive it all the time! I picked up a tanked and magged 302 (1971) block with 2V heads...
