    C/S 'T' code on E-Bay

I am curious why everyone is so hung up on the fact that the 6 cylinder engine is missing. I've had the opportunity to buy 5 different 1968 6 cylinder engine/transmissions combinations that were removed from 68 Mustangs years ago for use and installation in this car. These engine/transmission...

    C/S 'T' code on E-Bay

Neil, Give me a call, I have a proposition for you! By the way for everyone else. The little amount of sheetmetal work that the car STILL required the first time I advertised the car has been completed to the tune of about $1,000. I have acquired several other parts for the car that I did...

    1968 California Special Mustang

Neil, Yes I have thought about the issue of surface rust. The amazing thing about Soda Blasting is that it also provides protection from rusting IF kept in good storage. You would be amazed how long a car body will stay bare when it is Soda Blasted! Also, 68's had straight six engines, not V6's.

    1968 California Special Mustang

Neil, Yes, the suspension was converted from 6 cylinder 4 lug suspension front and rear to 5 lug V8 front and rear suspension. The axles and brakes drums were changed in the rear-end to 5 lug and the front hubs and drums was also converted the 5 lug. The car now also has V8 engine mounts...

    1968 California Special Mustang

1968 California Special. Acupulco Blue with Parchment (White) interior. Original T code 6 cylinder car. One of only 47 six cylinder CS cars produced. I purchased the car earlier this year and began the restoration of the car. Since that time I have purchased 2 more Saleen Mustangs that...

    X-Code 390 in Washington

Given the prices the 4 GT/CS's I saw sell at the Silver Auction several weeks ago in Scottsdale, I would say the world has recoginized these cars. The cheapest CS brought $18,500 + 8% for Red/Red 4 speed 302 car with Maaco paint and a fair interior.

CS/GT sales in Arizona last week`

Looks like the skid row auction (Silver Auctions) was the place to SELL a CS or HCS. If that 390 bench seat car at BJ was only worth $18K, the ones at Silver were certainly worth less however they brought MORE! Just goes to show you need to consign at the right place for the right car and...

CS/GT sales in Arizona last week`

I spent the entire week at BJ and the other auctions last week. CS cars were UP in price especially given the very average quality of some of the cars presented. There was one 390 "X" code bench seat car for auction at BJ. I do not know what it brought. Here is the listing for a J code car...

    Historical Prices

The above was posted in the first post as an example of what could/should be included in the information. I personally think this example totally misses the the important information that should be collected. One of the most important pieces of information in not listed, the VIN number...

    Historical Prices

The Camaro guys have the Camaro Research Group which pools all the information into one source. Many of the posters on Camaro.org will post the information (trim tag, vin, location and price) on the site as there are numerous enthusiasts that have databases with this information. It is very...

    Historical Prices

Are you sure you want a "appraised value" since most appraiser's are "paid liars"? Just ask anyone in the real estate business! I do not see where an appraised value would add anything to the discussion since an appraisal is an opinion, not a market fact that presents patterns of "real"...

    Texas GT/CS $37,500

Wow! Maybe some attitudes are changing! The fact of the matter is that it costs almost the same to restore a complete 68 Shelby GT350 as it does to restore a complete 68 CS/GT in the same/similiar condition. You are doing the same work to both cars. There is a little difference in unique...

    Texas GT/CS $37,500

ADVERTISING by a dealer at an inflated price is how you create and inflate the market for a particular brand, model and make of car. History has proven this time and time again. Just look at Ferrari's and Corvettes. Before you criticize you might want to enjoy the ride! NO, it's not my car...

    Barrett Jackson cars

There are lot's of bargains at BJ. They never make TV and therefore the general public does not see them. I have been going since the late 80's with the specific purpose of buying a few cars and having a great time. The reality of the 2007 sale was the severe drop in the quality of cars for...

    Value of a GT/CS

Thanks for the replies. We were not talking an even swap. He will give boot, lot's of boot! I was trying to determine if his car was an $8K car, a $10K car or a $12K car in its current condition. I have seen most of the cars on Ebay selling in the $15K range and they are nicer than this...

    Value of a GT/CS

A friend of mine wants to trade to me his 68 GT/CS on one of my Camaro's. His car is gold with gold interior and no vinyl top, C code, power steering, power disc brakes, Tilt/swing away, air conditioning, automatic, lower console, radio, and GT wheels. The car is virtually rust-free. It...
