    1968 Classic car insurance companies

I have my '51 Merc woodie insured with state farm. Since I have my daily drivers with them they gave me an awesome deal. State Farm has a special program just for specialty cars.

    Value??

Here's something similar I have been "watching": Has the GT package :thumb: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/5757783017.html http://www.britishsportscars.com/inventory/15380749/1968-Ford-Mustang/San-Luis-Obispo/British-Sports-Cars Hagerty has a "good" one at 55K. Hmmmm I might have to go...

    Oh the irony

The key is "cheap" oil. Saudi is #2 almost even with US in production volume. With all the US regulation oil extraction here is very expensive where in unregulated countries the supply is had much cheaper. While the lions share of oil in the US is had from North of the US and South of the US...

    Oh the irony

I saw one of these at my dealer's service center yesterday: http://militarycardealers.militaryautosource.com/roushwarriormustang/ The one I saw had 670 graphics on the front fenders which stood for 670 HP. Awesome beast of a 'stang but I could not help but think how ironic it is that a super...

    For Sale 1968 GT/CS J-code 4 speed on CL

Definitely needs to be checked out. If it is a four speed car with the GT package the price seems very good. Bummer that it has the wrong grille and no fog lights tho'. Although the resto shop looks clean and organized the seller would be way better off spending a couple of hours putting on hood...

1966-67 HCS New Engine on its Way!

Seems reasonable but hard to say without knowing the test conditions (bare motor/flywheel/trans/exhaust ect.) and where and how the output was measured.

    For Sale HCS on ebay

As mentioned before it is interesting that this car has a pony grille. But I also now notice the dual exhaust with a "correct" GT rear valance which, to my understanding, was not available on 289 cars.

For Sale 1968 GT/CS on SF CL

Tough to say without seeing it in person. There appears to be a puncture from high centering on something sharp or a jack or ???. The runners and drips seem a bit weird so if you inspect it make sure you arrange to have it put on a lift so you can do a thorough undercarriage inspection in good...

For Sale 1968 GT/CS on SF CL

Floors, floors, floors. If at all possible lift the carpets. The moisture is held in by carpeting, sound deadening material, and the glue to hold these in place.

For Sale 1968 GT/CS on SF CL

Good to hear that you know what to look for. I have read way too many posts about problems that were discovered after purchase. The good news is even if there are some undiscovered issues there are lots of parts available for these. You got it right anyplace dirt collects it hold the moisture...

For Sale 1968 GT/CS on SF CL

I grew up in a family run auto body shop out here in South San Francisco and even tho' our cars usually don't show the rust associated with road salt we still can have rusted out cars. Some of the worst rust I have seen are from cars that come from our coastal regions. Since we have lots of fog...

Annie- Can you share how you know who the high bidder is? Ebay hides the bidder ID's and only the bidder and seller is supposed to be able to see the bidder ID.

For Sale 1968 GT/CS Big block on Ebay

Travel and inspect first hand (it is most of the fun). Bring a magnet, icepick, compression tester and you will be way ahead of the game. I personally would not trust anyone except for a well known, by me, agent to inspect on my behalf. Also, with the S-code, I believe you can find them with a...

For Sale 1968 GT/CS Big block on Ebay

I definitely agree it is not wholly out of line but it still requires first hand investigation and scrutiny. I have seen way too many "freshened up" cars that are complete nightmares underneath the lipstick and makeup. I can already tell you the re-spray is low quality based on seeing overspray...
