. 30 Years of Mustang Monthly Magazines

I am going to be relocating in the next few months and have quite a heavy load of Mustang Monthly magazines that may not make the trip. Any recommendations on how to donate to a good home? I would have to throw them out but would need someone local to take as they would cost a fortune to mail.

    1968 License Plate Restoration

I just received my original license plate frame back today from Tag Doctor is Dawsonville GA(Rod Pearman). He does plates as well as frames and I am extremely pleased with the work. I would have had the original CA plate done but the police don't appreciate having two different states license...

1968 Do you remember your first?

It was 1984 and a beautiful Alcapulco blue GT/CS with no hood was driving along the beach. As this was in MA, I was shocked to see it as I had only read about them. As luck would have it, I went to work with the owner in 1987 and actually got to drive it. It was an X code and was set up for...

1968 Console Shifter Issue Part 3

Now I have rendered my car undriveable until I get this console back in correctly. I took some some of the underside of the plate, is there anything missing that is needed? I put the piece in and moved it as far forward so the slide does not show in Park. The screw holes did not line up and it...

1968 Console Shifter Issue Part 2

I had pulled the plate as far forward as possible but the slide still poked out and got caught when shifted into Drive. I looked online at other cars at is appears the slide should not protrude out at all when in Park. Just to confirm, does it matter where the selector rod is placed(passenger or...

1968 Console Shifter Issue Part 2

Thanks, I will head back out and give that shot. The Pyramid in the back ground is a power booster I put in back in 1989 when really loud music was the best companion for a fast car. I torment my kids with it now by saying my speakers go up to 11.

1968 Console Shifter Issue Part 2

I received my new slide from NPD and am trying to install. When placed in park, the bottom of the slide seems to be sticking out too far. Is this correct? Once I try to shift into gear, the bottom of the slide is out of the track and gets caught. Any ideas?

    1968 Console Shifter Issue

My new slide arrived from NPD today. As you can see in the photo, it is slightly longer than the old and twice as thick. It is much stiffer. Perhaps I just had an inferior part? I took some additional photos of how I put it together and will put some vaseline on the tracks when I install. Are...

    1968 Console Shifter Issue

Thanks, I have a new one on the way and will post some pictures before I put it back in. You would think after 25 years of owning the car I would have fixed this by now.

    1968 Console Shifter Issue

Thanks, I have a couple in over the years but is always ends up that when I shift into Drive, somehow it pops out and then gets bent. I am not sure I am putting it in correctly?

    1968 Console Shifter Issue

Thank you for the responses, I truly appreciate it. I took apart the console and shifter and added some photos. Hopefully someone may see something there. I held up the piece the slide goes it to show which side I had facing up when in the console.

    1968 Console Shifter Issue

I have a problem where the console shift slide catches when I shift into "D" and ends up pushing the shift indicator lettering down. I have taken it apart several times to make sure the seal is under shift indicator but after a few uses, it comes out and I have to hold it down while shifting in...

Grill detailing part 2 revised grill color

Hello, I was searching through the forums for details on grille hardware and came across these photos of your pristine car. Somewhere along the line someone helped themselves to the two grille bolts on top near the hood latch support from my car. I have been trying to find out what the correct...
