We have a 1968 CS/GT project car for sale. VIN is 8R01T165723. Marti Report shows it as being 1 of 4,118 built and 1 of 1,193 with that paint/trim. The car does not have matching numbers; originally it came with a 6 cyl. but had a V-8 when we purchased it. Also, the C-4 automatic transmission is missing.
Shortly after acquiring the car it began undergoing a complete restoration. Unfortunately, however, the restoration was not completed for the fact that the man hired to do the work died while working on it. We brought it back to Florida where the car sits now in the same condition it was in when we retrieved it. Up until the time we sent it for restoration it was a daily driver.
Shown by the pictures, all of which are recent, is that the car has very little rust. It still has the original paint job. To the best of my knowledge it was never wrecked or bent. Beyond the transmission, the only things missing that I am aware of are the original hood pins. Engine accessories are in the trunk. Included is a bolt of replacement material for seats and door panels that was ordered directly from Ford to match the original.
The car is being sold for the best offer over $5,000.00 received on or before July 31st. The buyer will be responsible for moving it from its current location (Tampa, Florida). For further information or to submit an offer, please PM me with an email address and/or telephone number.
