Attended the annual AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) fall Hershey meet in Hershey, PA, on October 10 and 11. Saturday is 'show' day; lots and lots of nice Mustangs and Shelbys in attendance.
However, THE stand-out car among the Mustangs was a candy apple red '68 HCS owned by Tom Elledge. Tom and I had been trading emails, but did not meet until that morning. He and his son proudly showed their car, which they restored themselves. We had a great chat about our special 'Stangs.
A few days later, Tom emailed me with the news: his car took Second Junior!! Great going, Tom!! I think he's too modest to have posted that news himself.
Tom's car is truly nice, and he made all of us with GT/CS's or HCS's proud.
Although I didn't have my GT/CS there, I did find a pair of Lucas fog lamp covers at a British flea market stand. I picked them up, and they look great!! These things are out there if you look long enough!
