Did the J Code GT/CS and HCS cars originally come with any type of engine dress up kit or were they all equipped with the standard Ford blue valve covers and air cleaner?

A little confusing?? just a little?

My car is in for some much needed repairs and I get asked (quite often) "why is this set up like that on your car?" I've created a standard answer......I dunno!!!

After 47 years, who's to know how many hands my car has passed through and how many times its been in a shop and how many times a mechanic or a non-mechanic has worked on car, done something and said "that's good enough!"

I'm just thrilled that my engine and transmission are original......everything else appears up for debate----except for air conditioning idlers!!
