1968 Need brake cylinder and booster unit for PB car

Is this the spacer that Marty mentioned? It's been in my garage for years.

Neil, I think that may be part of the spacer. I think that part is maybe a plastic gasket-type part that fits in the aluminum spacer. Here is a link to a Midland on ebay which I think has the spacer that we're talking about. In one of the pics you can see the part that you have is part of that larger metal spacer.

Yes you are right that is only the plastic seal and vent. I do not have one that is not in a car, but here is a picture of on installed.

Don't overlook the obvious; you may have good luck at the local parts store ie. NAPA. Many places still offer parts such as this. They rebuild all sorts of cores...I've found original FoMoCo water pumps, master cylinders, wheel cylinders, etc. at a fraction of the price compared to some of the specialty shops.

Just make sure you know what you are looking for because the sometimes offer rebuilt "replacement" parts...they fit and work but just aren't right!

I agree with others that you can't go wrong with Booster Dewey!

Thanks, Danny. I took the suggestions from several of you and called Booster Dewey yesterday. They were very helpful although don't currently have a Midland unit in stock. Gave me pricing and took my name and number down. They will call me when they have a unit. He also suggested that since my engine compartment is largely as it has been for 40+ years, that perhaps they find a unit in good condition, rebuild it, clean it up but not repaint it. I like that idea.
