1968 S code battery heat shield

Does anyone know with certainty that the S code GT/CS would have come with a battery heat shield? I have many pics from Mike Jewell's beauty, but none from that area.

Would not suggest you use restored cars as your only guide but since you mentioned Mike's car yes there was one on it. Ford sources also list 68 S codes as having to the shields . Basically all 68s with AC or big blocks

Jeff, I also found an old article about batteries that you commented on as well as Marty. A lot of good info. I had no idea some batteries had yellow caps. Thanks for your input!
