Anyone have a simple method to aim headlights? "X" number of feet from a wall or door, aim to a certain level?
In my Dad's garage, (in the olden days) we had a device to attach to the headlight, and use a bubble level @ a preset level for correct aim. Very sophisticated for the time. (Of course, headlights were 6 volts then, too!!)

Hi Neil,

The 68 Ford Shop Manual describes the procedure, locating the car at 25 ft from the wall on a level floor.

The pages describing this procedure are in Part 15-1, page 15-10 and 15-11. If you don't have access to this shop manual, I may try to scan the 2 pages for you.

Also there are 2 How-To article in Mustang monthly. if you have access to these

Aiming to please ( Headlight adjustment ) : Mustang Monthly, July 1987 p.43

HEADLAMP RETENTION & ADJUSTMENTHEADLIGHTS, Mustang Monthly July 1990, p 60
